Weekend Thoughts

Great, another unnamed source in the Michael Vick investigation. Why is it taking so long for the DA to file charges, if there is so much information out there linking Vick to dogfighting? I'll answer my own question. Probably the information in the media is more hearsay than factual, and many of the unnamed sources would not be willing to testify.

Braves win a series against the Mets, and turn around and get swept at home by the Phillies. I'm still concerned about this team's inability to manufacture runs, and the starting pitching. Hudson is struggling now, and I'm wondering if there might be some sort of injury or tired arm involved.

Congratulations to the Atlanta Hawks for keeping their first round picks in the upcoming draft. Unfortunately, I have no faith in Billy Knight. I'm not sure how he can pass on Mike Conley at 3, but I'm not convinced Conley is worth the pick. I don't want Knight reaching for a player, simply because the fans and media believe it is what the Hawks need. Bad teams stay bad by doing that.
